Our country’s tourism slogan “It’s more fun in the Philippines” landed third among the 100 smartest marketing campaigns in the world. “It’s more fun in the Philippines” campaign was launched in 2012 to attract visitors to visit the country. The campaign hopes to direct the whole country in creating positive buzz around this tagline. “Using Filipinos themselves as the inspiration for the campaign, the slogan: ‘It’s more fun in the Philippines’ captured the attention of the whole nation – even the world,” Warc said.

Behind this fun tagline is a more serious problem that our country is facing today. One of these is the transportation which is the main necessity of all Filipinos. A Facebook user named James Cubelo, Advertising student and soon to graduate posted a video and gained a drastic attention of netizens.

In his short video, he’s showing to all the netizens how crazy his experience in LRT1 from Central Station until Pedro Gil. He compared his breathtaking LRT journey to fantastic Star City ride. It’s not just James who encountered this unique ride, even student foreigners experienced the fun and exciting LRT ride!

PART 1

Crazy LRT experience
Guys!! At first di ko naisipang i-video kasi sobrang kabado talaga ako! Pero, in fairness ahh! nag-enjoy kami! i know na sobrang delikado talaga sya, pero no choice na kami at that moment kasi nakaandar na sya ng matulin! best part is, sumakay kami ng puno na ang tren, pero nung nalaman na bukas ang door habang tumatakbo, biglang lumuwag nalang,,, haha. takot nalang namin lahat na mahulog noh, knowing na GRADUATING KAMI! ganun! Well, thanks God, buhay pa kami now at safe!!! HUY! May foreigners akong kasama that time :)hi Danelle!! nag- enjoy ka ba sa mala-Star City ride natin!#OnlyInThePhilippines #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines #LRTMoments

PART 2
Crazy LRT experice part 2
So ayun, nagpatawa ulet ako para bawas stress, at takot. ganon. nag video ulet. Hanggang dumating kami sa Pedro Gil, at duon nagkaroon ng testing sa door, sa wakas with the help of God, nagsara ang naging kalmado na ang byahe namin hanggang EDSA station... bow! Advertising Student and Graduating here! :)Godspeed!

Management and government should be aware of this situation especially SAFETY of the entire passenger is the main responsibility of our government. LRT or any kind of transportation should provide the assurance that the passenger will reach its destination from point A to point B. Is this the new meaning of the tagline “It’s more fun in the Philippines”? Watch and share us your thoughts!
