According to Erwin Tulfo's Facebook page, Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has formally filed a case of Treason against Senator Antonio Trillanes for visiting China 16 times back in 2012 and letting them took hold of the Scarborough Shoals in the South China Sea.

On his speech during his campaign on southern Luzon, the feisty Mayor cited what Trillanes did during his visit in China.

“He travelled to China 16 times. After the 16th visit, we lost Scarborough and Spratlys then China started to fill up the waters and built structures,” Duterte revealed.

Based on his verification with the Bureau of Immigration, Trillanes’ contact in China is the People’s Liberation Army.

“Wala siyang nireport kung ano ginawa nya doon [He didn't render a report on what he did there],” Duterte added.

As remembered, Trillanes had gotten into a heated exchange with Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile months after his purposed "back-channelling" missions in China, as the tough-talking senator refused to give even a confidential report to the Senate, his mother institution.

He told Enrile that he had "no duty" to tell the Senate what he did, supposedly on behalf of President Benigno Aquino III.
