TAGBILARAN CITY - Two suspected drug pushers were shot dead inside a pension house during a buy-bust operation Thursday afternoon in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The two suspects reportedly fought Bohol policemen.
Usung a poseur buyer, policemen were able to get inside the pension room where the two were allegedly caught using drugs.
Supt. Ricky Delelis, PNP Bohol's spokesperson, said the two suspects brought out their guns, causing policemen to shoot the victims. The suspects gunshot wounds in their forehead.
Police identified one of the suspects as Karlvin Licong, a 26-year-old resident of Barangay Cogon in Tagbilaran.
Delelis said Licong was a "level one" drug pusher and was in the Bohol PNP's watchlist. The other suspect remains unidentified.
Suspected illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, money, a .45 caliber pistol, and an M-16 rifle were seized from the suspects.
The bodies of the suspects were brought to a funeral parlor where their families can claim them.
