Recently, a few officials in the Cebu PNP have been relieved from their posts due to their involvement with the said trade; and one of those is former Cebu City Police Office Director Senior Superintendent- Benjamin Santos.

Dela Rosa have also revealed that a few other mayors of the city have been identified to be involved with the said trade however he chose to keep their identity a secret.

The mandatory drug test of the police officials have also found seven men who tested positive. Though Dela Rosa have told them to willingly surrender saying:

"I am willing to fight with you. In fact, we are not allowed to carry fire arms pag ganito ang suot natin, pero tignan ninyo, ako lang and PNP Chief na nagdadala ng baril. Dahil kung makita ko yung drug lord dito sa inyong lugar na nasa listahan, babarilin ko agad."
