But starting today, July 18, 2016, ordinary taxi can now enter the premises of NAIA and get passengers. The management of Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has finally decided to allow white or ordinary taxi to pick-up passengers provided that they will be recorded. MIAA General Manager Eddie Monreal, said "Irerecord po natin ang mga taxi na pumapasok sa airport, the driver, the name of the taxi and plate number. Yung isang coupon ibibigay sa pasahero at yung isa sa magiging record ng authorities."

Meanwhile, one airport taxi driver, Arturo Montillano, believes that the queue lines are not because there's a lack of taxi cabs but because of the worsening traffic around Metro Manila. But still, he and most airport taxi drivers have no problems with ordinary taxi cabs being allowed in the airport.
