Sandra Cam claims that she knows Senator Leila De Lima’s involvement in the drug menace inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) 5 years ago but certain personalities stopped her from exposing the senator.
Cam protested the appointment of De Lima in the Commission on Appointments but the seated heads of the said body blocked her from speaking the truth about De Lima.
She accused that Senators Frank Drilon and Koko Pimentel and Ilocos Norte Rep. Rudy Farinas did not gave her the chance to speak at confirmation hearing of Senator De Lima who was being appointed as Justice Secretary.
“The senators and congressmen railroaded her appointment. I had no chance to explain what is in our expose. Farinas Drilon, Koko Pimentel, they all stopped me, I was like a voice in the wilderness.” Sandra Cam said in a radio interview.
“I wished the CA had listened to us, I only wanted five to 10 minutes. Ngayon, madaming congressman at senador na nagsipagbalimbingan na,” said Cam.
Cam said she planned to give the Lower House a copy of the tape of the CA hearing to show the public how the “balimbings without balls” stopped the expose on Bureau of Corrections anomalies.
