MANILA, Philippines – The house of suspected terrorists with alleged links to the Islamic State (ISIS) has been raided by authorities in Camarines Norte on Wednesday, January 11; although the suspects were not caught in the operation.

The suspects were identified as brothers Wilson and Ismael Guevarra, both of whom are believed to be members of a local terror cell and have trained in Mindanao, based on intelligence reports.
Combined teams from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Camarines Norte PNP and the Philippine Army stormed the house of the Guevarras in P-5, Brgy. Talobatib in Labo, but only found the mother, Erlinda.
The mother said his sons left the house last Monday and have never returned since. She also did not know where the brothers were heading.
She told the police she had no idea that her sons were ‘terrorists’ or that they went to Mindanao for the training since she only returned home from Saudi Arabia last December after working there for more than 20 years.
Nevertheless, authorities found two hand grenades and several documents during the raid.
Meanwhile, Camarines Norte Police Provincial Director Police Senior Supt. Rudolph Dimas advised the public to remain calm even as he assured that the security forces are on top of the situation in keeping the peace and order in the province amid the threats of terrorism.
